Update 01.162 DEV - Steam Achievements, Raycast Improvements

    Summary
    Hello Engineers! In today’s update, we are adding Steam achievements for Space Engineers. They already cover a pretty wide range of activities so get hunting - but we also have the ability to add more in the future as the game develops further.
    You can now use double mouse click to activate hand tools continuously which should come in handy for those longer survival sessions. An improvement made to sensor blocks is that you can now toggle on or off the detection of subgrids on a grid where a sensor is placed. The bugs fixed this week include button panel text only appearing for a short moment, ship dampeners seeing un-fueled hydrogen thrusters as powered and the properties of subgrids not being updated. Lastly we made some major changes to the programmable block API, including adding new raycast functionality for cameras.     There will be some bigger updates over the coming weeks, including corner lights and corner LCDs and more parallelization. The redesigned blocks are even nearer to completion, as the artists are now mostly working on LODs at this point. Also, the new multiplayer prototypes are undergoing internal testing at this time and we look forward to sharing the results of this with the community.

    - fixed issue with control panel message appearing briefly
    - fixed mirroring issue with the small grid 5x5 wheel
    - fixed issue where it was difficult to select a button on the control panel
    - fixed issue where rotor displacement would not refresh when options were changed in the control panel
    - fixed crash at Sandbox.Game.Entities.MyCubeGrid.IsAabbInsideVoxel
    - fixed crash at Game.Entities.Blocks.MyMechanicalConnectionBlockBase.BreakLinks

    Hotfixes (162.005)
    - fixed pasting blueprints in Creative
    - fixed audio crash

    Nice update. I'm not sure if we needed achievements, but oh well, they don't bite. That rotor in the teaser looks really different than current!

    yeah i think i have that covered

    anyways, good update. the new models look awesome as always.

    Any chance you'll fix the crash-while-welding-projections-in-survival soon? It's been broken for a while, and it renders the game unplayable for me.

    Can we have the achievement use pistons/landing gears/rotors in mp without dying unexpectedly... :)

    EDIT: Just tested and still can't play on our world anymore, Assuming its server desync issues causing this constantly:

    For a long time this has been a very useful 'feature' particularly for extended right-click drilling to remove stone overburden on mining. As you've now removed it, could we please have the option of a replacement function to do this ?

    Oh, this looks like fun, I do like those new renders, hope to see that update coming soon, can't wait!

    Also, that new multiplayer code looks good, hope to get a Prealpha look at that as well :)

    I still cannot place blocks on the ground.. I still hear the "placement sound" but blocks are still invisible!
    Can you please (!) work on that problem?

    4,501+ hours played so far but steam achievements says i have 0, says i have achieved nothing and that i have never played the game, thanks KEEN what's the point of playing your game when even what i have done it not recognized as a part of it, begin to feel like giving up and binning the game, maybe find something else to play instead

    Seriously? You're going to complain because the achievements came out after you started playing? First world problems.
    Just play more to unlock them, not a big deal. If you still want to bin it, fine, we won't miss you. You had well over your money's worth.

    We need 42 achievements. No more, no less.

    Oooh....patch is early today.
    like the double click tools...very useful.
    Not fussed about achievements, but not hveing to risk RSI when hand drilling or grinding will be a relief :)

    The game wasn't tracking that data previously, so it doesn't know. Not like 150 is hard to get. That achievement seriously needs to be renamed "Apprentice Engineer".


    Hadn't noticed before, but I like the tilt of the control panels. It's a nice touch.

    That rotor without conveyor ports. don't do that, it has no sidemounts in the video, and in the current game it has them
