New update Random Sim speed drops MP

    On the multi player server we have, before the last update we could have 10 players and hold a 1.00 sim speed. Now with todays update ( 11/17/2017) the sim speed will be OK, then drop hard don to 0.30 - 0.05. then jump back up to 1.00 this happens with 1 player or 9 players.
    The sim speed drops are random, and the 'Shift+F1' menu doesn't show the reason why as the timers read 20 mins+. Noting on our end has changed outside of the game updating.

    Load the Server and client connect. and do what ever. normaly can take about 20 mins or so.
    There is a 100% rate with this.

    This is NOT random. My server experiences the same issue, and I have found the cause:

    When a player gets in range of other large grids (about 7 km for my server which is draw distance range), the sim speed will slow down to 0.02.

    For example: when a player who owns a large station leaves to go mining and ventures further than 7km, and then later comes back within range, it will trigger the sim speed drop to 0.02. It normally recovers after around 20 to 40 seconds, or sometimes does not recover at all and gets stuck at 0.02 sim speed.

    Other examples of this issue also happening:
    - The client first loads into the server and loads up a large grid.
    - The client enters spectate mode on a large grid.

    This is on per player basis - meaning this issue occurs when any player enters range of the large grid, whether another player was already next to the large grid or not.

    This is pretty game breaking and renders dedicated servers almost completely unplayble. Before the patch, my server's sim speed will always be at 1 except for the occasional drop. I'm hoping for a quick resolution to this problem.

    (Note: When I say large grid, I mean grids with at least like 1000 blocks)

    We have a large grid limit of 7500 Blocks... and only 3 players have grids of that size. we can be fine. at times and other times not one bit since the update.

    I noticed this last night after the update. Sim speed tanks and recovers with just a single player on the DS with a few large grid ships in the vicinity. One ship at about 5k blocks, and the other 4 or 5 in the area are sitting at +/-1k blocks. Getting caught and killed by sliding doors is much more prevalent with sim speed issues and the rubber-banding it causes. :p

    (DS sim speeds were fine before, save for the fact that it also tanked when a pirate or cargo ship would spawn, but that's already been reported in another thread though. I'm usually pretty good at removing the ships when they start eating the sim speed, anyway.)

    Chiming in to report our Dedicated Server sim speed is 1.0 when there is only 1 player connected, but drops to ~0.6 when a second player joins.
