    STR / TLDR:
    1. Grab this blueprint;
    2. Enter any survival server (all-x1 survival turbo-hardcore with impossibly harsh settings for bonus points);
    3. Get yourself a powered large ship or station with a projector;
    4. Get a unit of Interior Plate;
    5. Project the given blueprint anywhere placeable and weld wireframe;
    6. Enter the grid terminal and watch the container that can hold 4M cubic meters and contains 1.5M worth of various construction components.
    7. (Optional) Realize that all that effort you've put for the past three weeks were in vain as some people have obviously come across this exploit naturally and ragequit into the horizon.

    Longer version:

    I suppose this bug has been around for three weeks or more, but I haven't heard of it, neither have I come across it in the official bug reports subforum. Its magnitude is higher than that of the pre-primed projected warheads that could be used to demolish whole asteroids for free.

    Basically, all items inside a container in a blueprint get restored upon welding the container from the blueprint into existence. This blueprint is an example of such exploit.

    Bonus points for the fact that currently the container maximum volume is hardcoded into the concrete block definition. Therefore it is possible to project a custom container with extended size. The blueprint in question contains a large ship small container that has a capacity of 4M cubic meters with an assortment of construction components totalling 1.5M cubic meters.

    If an admin of a SE dedicated server reads this, please, ban the projectors - either by setting theprivate tag to true and removing all projectors from the *.sbc world-file or just setting the Enabled property in the core Definition tag to false. This is a critical game-breaking bug that puts all survival servers into direct jeopardy. It's more than that, given the three weeks it is around and the fact most people create their blueprints in Creative or make copies of existing ships, meaning that anyone quickly comes across this bug and is free to peruse it at their own discretion.

    Just an FYI, this also applies to Reactors/uranium, and turrets/ammo or any other container.

    Well, this explains a few things.

    Fix please. Kind of breaks the game even more then it is already broken for MP.

    I think after landing gears/pistons/rotors this bug has been around for a very long time. It would nice if this was fixed soon

    Well, if you're a server admin, just ban the projectors (the proper way). I don't think any bug or exploit will qualify for a hotfix on other day than Thursday/Friday.

    In the meantime, this old new exploit allows to quickly and easily reproduce other bugs in "production" dedicated servers. At least something good came out of it :)

    Please fix this, Multiplayer is already broken enough, and now players are exploiting it further!

    So we might get planets but we can't use a block that was released...6 months ago?

    No a word from a dev yet.

    Projected ships shouldn't be producing cargo. It shouldn't have anything you didn't put there. This was a bug that was supposed to have been squished ages ago. There was also a bug with batteries having the charge that the blueprint ship had. That bug should also have been squashed.

    Anyways, I suspect the problem is that blueprints contains a lot of information. Everything you need to make an exact copy of the original ship by pasting it in creative. The problem is I think the projectors uses the same data. If projectors worked correctly, the contents of a cargo container should be set to empty so you build an empty cargo container, not build a cargo container containing what the blueprint is supposed to have.

    Now that 395 people have viewed this thread and know how to do this can we get some love?

    You should probably stop bumping this thread as if it were the only bug report out there.

    Even though its priority might be high, it aint critical. People can still play the game just fine.

    This bug merely has an actual effect for pvp/competitive gameplay.
    If you are playing cooperative or even alone it is up to you to use these bugs or not to boost your benefits beyond what you actually achieved.

    For me as creative SP player this bug has absolutely no value and we got many more bugs that actually impact the game in a way more problematic way than this.
    Bugs like crashes, destructie physics mishaps etc come to mind there and for many of them we havent gotten a confirmation either.

    It will however very likely happen a few days after the planets release when they got more workforce to focus on other bugs besides the planet release bugs.

    Confirmed. Sensors and projectors are big parts of survival gameplay, so it is not acceptable.

    Can confirm this too, we need a fix for this. Players can create a ton of blueprints for each resource and just farm those to their needs. It is even possible to automate the duping progress with a welder + grinder setup and timerblock.
    As already mentioned before, if you are hosting a survival server, disable projectors serverwide.
