    Looks like i am having the same problem as the original post.

    Computer Specs:
    Windows 7 64x
    3.2ghz AMD Bulldozer
    16GB DDR3 RAM
    3GB XFX HD7900(ATI, so not just nvidia)
    SSD


    Can confirm changing back to DirectX 9 has fixed the crash. Hopefully there is a hotfix for this soon.

    To those wondering why it says you don't meet minimum specs, it's because the shaders failed to compile so it looks like your card doesn't support them, thus your card appears to not meet specs. The bug is just confusing the engine as to what is going on and making it think you don't have SM2 support.

    So it seems the shaders for planets don't work with MSAA anti-aliasing (x2 produces the above error, x4 and x8 just hang the process). None and FXAA work fine.

    You can reset to None with

    Same Issues. Game sometimes loads but shows no gui or backdrop in the opening screen, just an empty screen.

    GPU: GeForce GTX 960 (EDIT: Driver version 355.98)
    CPU: Intel Core i7-5820k @ 3.30GHz
    RAM: 16GB
    OS: Windows 10 Professional

    This forces me to terminate the program from the task manager or task bar however, even after termination the program continues to run. Checking the task manager shows it still running and "end task" has no effect. This means a reboot (it really wont terminate) each time I want to see if changes made to the config file have solved the issue (since steam will not allow a second instance of space engineers to run).

    The fix worked for me too so far, but now all is much to bright in the game so i need sunglasses and my Carrier explodes if i move it with docked fighters, but, im sure there will be a fix soon.
