What are you spending your Space Credits on Space Engineers? Or are you hoarding your fortunes? ;)

Ships. All the different Ships, because they lack a description of what components they have, or I didn't know where to find it.

At the moment I spend them for zone chips. Keeping a safe zone ALife is costly.

I'm at nearly half a billion SCs and climbing. One billion SCs is my goal. I'm not sure what I'll do once that's done.

I could do that, but I already have three ships and two bases (starting on Mars in survival mode with only a respawn pod): 1) My original Uranium Express mk2 ship built so I could carry enough starting materials into space to establish a space-based refinery complex; 2) after establishing the beginning of a space-based refinery complex, I built a Dirty Ore mk2 for doing large-scale space-based mining; and 3) I finally built my latest ship creation called Triggerfish that has 8 jump drives and carries a massive quantity of ingots for selling and producing components for selling; the 8 jump drives enables me to efficiently complete hauling contracts in a short amount of time. So, as you can see, I don't need more ships.

@Spaceman Spiff well I more meant a kind of fresh start, only the billion SC, a starting welding tool, grinder and the shop.

There's a recent mod that allows you to start with a billion SCs. I guess that's a good way to go if you're goal is to check out all the various ships offered for sale. When it comes to the "get-'er-done" approach, I'm a build-it-yourself sort of guy. Admittedly, my ships are heavy on the functional part and fairly low on the "pretty" scale, but they do what I intend them to do, and usually reasonably well. As a real-life mechanical engineer, I'm far too goal oriented to spend enough time trying to make my ships artsy-fartsy, but I digress...

I agree with that style.. at least initially. My ships tend to be compact in inner space and practicality. I guess I tend to design frugally and with the idea of having everything pretty much in reach within a small footprint. Sorta think of it as war or real space economics and practicality. Keep it simple. Or at least easy to build and maintain.
