    Hello guys.

    Most of us already know what awaits us in the coming months.
    EDIT: Sabiroid confirmed with the 1.104 teaser trailer.
    EDIT2: Yeah, now we are fu***... and it is AWESOME! - Patch 1.106 teaser.

    With probably the first enemy out in the game, some very good ideas came out in the forum and some others i believe could be added to our terrifying little friend.

    I would propose the addition of a few things, to maybe enhance this family and ideas of how they might interact with the player.

    - Sabiroid soldier (the one we have in the hidden file);
    - Sabiroid Worker
    - Winged Sabiroid;
    - Larva;
    - Queen;
    - Hive;
    - Egg.

    I will detail each of them.

    - Sabiroid soldier
    - Attack Type: Melee
    - Damage: Medium
    - Resistance: Medium
    - Speed: Average
    Normally found in groups of two to five individuals. With the objective of protecting the nest and the queen when they are threatened, they attack aggressively any invaders that may come close. They can be seen inside nests or walking in groups escorting a queen in search of a new nest.

    - Winged Sabiroid
    - Attack Type: Melee
    - Damage: small
    - Resistance: small
    - Speed: High
    With the function of feeding the hive, usually hunt at night and in groups of four to twelve individuals. Aggressively attack using the wings to get past obstacles and approaching the target quickly.

    - Larva
    - Attack Type: corrosive, ranged
    - Damage: damage over time
    - Resistance: small
    - Speed: Slow
    Hatched from eggs usually are in groups around the nest. They are easily attracted to strong electromagnetic fields. When threatened, spit acid at their attackers. If killed, unleash a winch that attracts other sabiroids to its defense.

    - Queen
    - Attack Type: spikes, ranged and melee
    - Damage: medium / high
    - Resistance: High
    - Speed: Slow
    Found in the deepest parts of nests. Big and slow, usually preferring to flee instead of entering into combat, using Sabiroid soldiers as the main line of defense, if it has no choice goes to the attack, can throw its spikes at enemies from a good distance and their large claws can cut anyone in half with one blow.

    - Hive
    - Attack Type: none
    - Damage: none
    - Resistance: High
    - Speed: none
    Relatively large structures, usually home to Sabiroid workers. When destroyed, it liberate a large amount of toxins in the air.

    - Sabiroid worker
    - Attack Type: Melee
    - Damage: small
    - Resistance: small
    - Speed: Average
    Found in nests, care for the eggs and hives. When eggs or hives are threatened they go out in its defense in large numbers.

    - Egg
    - Attack Type: none
    - Damage: none
    - Resistance: Low
    - Speed: it just sits there ... pulsating
    Found stacked inside nests, give birth to larvae.

    I would like to know what you guys think and what could be added to complement this idea.

    Well if nothing else, I'd certainly like eggs! Imagine if you could gather some and leave them on a derelict for someone else to find...

    Lets take it one step further:
    1. Ask Rival to meet him at his base to negotiate an peace treaty.
    2. Send unmanned Dronefreighter
    3. Forget the "few" eggs onboard
    4. ... (if you dont like blood close your eyes)
    5. Profit!:pbjt:

    Now seriously that would open new options for pvp imagine BUGWARFARE!!

    Don't build survival ships with internals. Problem solved.

    It's totally possible to build survival compatible/functional ships that don't have interior space for crew/etc. Kinda hard to get a bug infestation in solid blocks of metal.

    OHHH i see i thought you meant small ships gone wild.
    Still i usually have ways to my components (refinery/assembler/etc.).
    But i suppose you could desing a ship for that purpose and dont forget we dont know how large they will be they could fit in conveyors (creepy:eek:)

    I usually build with merge block based service pannels and did away with crawlspaces these days.

    Haha, imagine if they could use the conveyor system? Little ones could crawl out into your cockpit :eek:

    [mode grinch ON] Just a precision, being in the code doesn't mean it will be released : rails have been in code for ages an we still wait them.[mode grinch OFF]

    I doubt we'd find any creatures in space. That's what planets will be for!

    I'll quote myself from the other spider thread. My basic opinion about finding spiders on a planet?

    Oh and hostile NPCs like the Sabiroids? HELL !"#%!" YEAH!!!! :D

    I will produce new grinding torpedoes that grind into enemy ships and deposit eggs into the ship. Who needs space marines when you have spider people!

    i love to have enemy in space as pirate drones, and soon the sabiroid in some planets, adds more elements of survival and challenge, not just keeping the stock of uranium and ice :)
