SE uses normal internet connection and Hamachi at the same time?

So today I noticed after closing SE that in Task Manager both connection graphs were showing usage so here is a question.

Does SE choose one connection, does it choose best available at the moment (changes primary connection mid-game) or maybe it doesnt choose at all and use everything?

If it doesnt choose one or use both at the same time that would explain some of the strange lags I've seen sometimes (seemed like a small desync).
