[Solved] Procedural Seed Key Conflict Crash on Migrated Servers

    I am posting this publicly as a reference for other people who may encounter a similar problem.

    I ran into an issue when migrating my dedicated server to a non-local host. In this case, the procedural seed key of my migrated world files was conflicting with the default key of the non-local host SpaceEngineers-Dedicated.cfg file. Retrieving that seed along with the correct ProceduralDensity value and inputting them into host's cfg fixed the problem.

    For your future reference concerning similar migration issues if you aren't already aware of this:

    Symptom:
    Server launches correctly. Player can connect and idle at spawn selection. When the spawn is selected, the server will crash and return 'server host as left the game' standard message. The crash may not happen at every spawn point, but (presumably) will occur near regions that been edited (e.g. mining), such as a neutral spawn point. SpaceEngineers.log file will output many lines such as:

    </div>Solution:</div>Retrieve the procedural seed and density values from the SpaceEngineers-Dedicated.cfg stored where the game was being migrated from. Example:

    AppData/Roaming/SpaceEngineersDedicated/SpaceEngineers-Dedicated.cfg:

    &lt;ProceduralDensity>1&lt;/ProceduralDensity>
    &lt;ProceduralSeed>2128637684&lt;/ProceduralSeed>

    </div>Replace the values in the same config on the non-local host's site.

    Keen Fix:
    Please add a check for the procedural seed/density on server launch to make sure it matches the original seed/density that spawned the map.</div>
