Almost everyone is working on planets. Little to no work on Multiplayer.

I expect them to be released next Thursday... But not today, so very soon, within days?!

    Planets aren't procedurally generated. Ugh.

Worst news ever. Literally don't care about planets anymore.

"planets will be sooner than you're expecting" I'm 100% sure we don't get the planets today, But I'm 100% hyped [IMG]

Still, i'll probably be happy with earth and mars. Probably.

just... how's that work out with the size-slider? Has that been axed?

Wonder why they couldn't get PG working for planets. This means planets are not going to be like the older dev version. Shame really. :(

I'm not seeing this as a big disappointment, personally. PG planets would have taken them forever to tune... Plus they can include more POI type stuff on planets that PG planets wouldn't have had. This also means modders can make their own planets...

Ya... I kind of feel that way about this too... :-\

It's incredibly disheartening. For a game like this, you need procedural generation of the game world, otherwise there's very little re-playability.

I feel like Keen cannot decide if they want this game to be an open sandbox, or a scenario based game.

did he just say cars are not effective at mining in high gravity? maybe thats cause their wheels suck and we only have a drill. give me tracks and a freaking shovel and ill show you a digger!

Edit: that was a little hostile. what i meant to say was "if you want planetary mining to be viable, the players need the correct tools with which to do so"

So mod planets then. Good news at least.

It also means that we'll only get, like, four or five different planets. So going boldly where no one has gone before is going to take about five minutes before the "where" starts to repeat planets.
