- What is the UFPS? -

The UFPS (United Federation of Planetary Systems) is an as of now, small but dedicated and friendly group and community. Our aims are to create a network of multiplayer servers that effectively and efficiently bridge the gap between role-play and the gritty, challenging, survivalist play style. Our servers will cater to a huge variety of players and their styles, from the deep space raider hidden in the soot grey reaches of the asteroid belt, to the peaceful trader hauling ore and cargo between worlds, the UFPS acts to separate and intermingle these play styles to create a fun and challenging experience for everyone. Acting as an authority and ruling body for the world-space, we face the same challenges the average players do, and provide a natural enemy of the pirates and warmongers, as well as a manager and facilitator for more peaceful occurrences. In the world of our eventual server, the UFPS will allow change in massive proportions to occur. The next time you join the game, a planet may no longer fall under UFPS control due to another warring faction, or martial law is in affect on another. This creates a sense of realism and excitement during gameplay.

- Why we need you -

The UFPS can't accomplish this dream without our most valuable resource, people. Without members, or a strong and healthy following, we can't assure that when we set up a server we can maintain the funding needed to keep it up. Without members means no traffic or any chance at donation, something in the future we will have to call upon to maintain the server network. Not only that, but to maintain the UFPS as the ruling body in these eventual servers, the starship we use to patrol and explore will be wastes of resources. We need captains, first officers, project managers, engineers, pilots, anyone with any skill set (or lack of skills) are welcome, and our community can teach and help.

It's that easy, and requires minimal effort in the long run. Help out when you'd like, and our members work together open to all people most of the time, meaning that we're nearly always available to help out an engineer in need. - Our History -

The voyage begins

In 2071, the ETCP (Exo-planet Terra-forming and Colonization Project) satellite array Eta, monitored a star, with multiple planets with similar mass to Earth. It was believed at the time, that the star system may contain an exo-planet due to the intense increased "Goldilocks Zone" affecting the planets in proximity of the star. Within 2 months, the mystery planet had finally orbited within range, and preliminary tests from a sensor probe launched in 2060, arriving in 2068 and analyzing data until 2070, confirmed that the planet could very well support life, though not intelligent. Almost immediately ETCP sprang to action to secure funding and staff for a manned colonization mission, but was met with general disinterest. But by the beginning of 2072, ETCP was able to secure adequate funding from 17 nations with varying stakes, but only 147 trained personnel could be gathered for the mission. For ETCP, that was not enough, and there weren't enough trained personnel that could be payed for a colonization mission of this scope. ETCP had a plan. At end of 2072, ETCP was able to secure deals with over 40,000 in-mates with sentences of a little more or less than a year, for charges of petty theft, rioting, or creating civil un-rest. Spurred by the second space race, incarceration rates had spiked globally in the form of protest and rioting. Four ships were constructed, under the banner of the internal project name "Freedom" (phrased via the in-mates, picked up by ETCP staff). In late September, 2076, the ships were ready. 40,150 colonists boarded the vessels, lifted off into the atmosphere and achieved orbit by 11:19 that night. The ships docked in orbit 4 days later to form one unified craft, and combine all resources into one ship. The plan was for the ships to perform 7 gravity assists and arrive in only 10 years. The ships were piloted via one of the most advanced auto-pilot software of that time to make corrections, maintain ship systems and maintain contact with ETCP command. However, July 27th, 2082, with the Freedom having departed the system, the ship is thousands of miles from any help or rescue. But during a routine maintenance check, inspecting a large power line from the reactor, led to an emergency reactor shutdown. The ship was without power for days, until the crew finally activated the emergency solar panels. When the AI came online however, it quickly directed power from the cryo-pods into navigation to keep the ship on-course, killing over 10,000 of the crew in a matter of hours before the maintenance teams could redirect the utilitarian AI. But unbeknownst to the crew, back on Earth they had been forgotten. When the communications signal went offline, ETCP could no longer monitor them and they were presumed dead. The UN and other nations quickly shut down the ETCP and attempted to cover up the mission to prevent further civil unrest, and the story of the Freedom was nearly forgotten.

The Colonists Arrive

When the Freedom and it's remaining 30,143 crew arrived at Terra Prime in the late 2090's, early sensor sweeps had detected that another civilization had set up on a nearby planet. Within the year, the Freedom crew had set up on Terra Prime and began referring to themselves as the Terrans, in relation to the name of Terra Prime, their new home. Later investigation confirmed the presence of a faction, calling themselves the Estudiant. The Estudiant, were from an independent corporate body born around the time of the Freedoms launch, that specialized in the trade of damaging secrets. One of many United Nations secrets the had, was the story of the Freedom, and the Solaris system. In 2088 they sent many ships out on a colonization mission to the unclaimed Solaris system, settling on a world close to Terra-Prime to learn from the Freedom if it arrived. However, before the corporation could move to Solaris in it's entirety, it died off from the fighting and conflict throughout the Sol system. The Terrans also learned the fate of their mission according to the Estudiant, covered up and forgotten with no heed payed to the missing colonists of the Freedom, sparking hatred towards Earth and Sol. Much dialogue and conversation led to the acquisition of this information, but it soon became clear that much of their society had become xenophobic and accustomed to their isolation. The arrival of the Freedom had begun to cause sparks of civil unrest throughout the world, eventually igniting into a bloody internal civil war. It wasn't long though before the fighting leaked out to other parts of the system, with the occasional raid on Terra-Prime, or independent Estudiant seeking asylum with the Terrans. 8 Years of fighting passed, and the Terrans had enough. They had engineered crude nuclear weapons, from the reactors sent with them. The weapons were low yield but still dangerous, with the Terrans presenting them to the welcoming Estudiant faction in hopes of ending the war quickly. But to their horror, in 2103, the Estudiant already had nuclear weapons, with no intention of using them due to "mutually assured destruction". But this act of favor by the Terrans sent the Estudiant over the edge, causing them to annhilate themselves into deep nuclear winter.

The TIC begins

After this event, the TIC (Terran Imperial Confederacy) was formed in 2103 with the intention of uniting the colonists who had broken off from the Terrans in protest of sending the WMD's, and instead sending them scattered to the many partially habitable planets among the system to grow in population. Civil war was always on the brink during the TIC rule, and outside of the few safe havens exempt from the fighting, poverty destruction and bloodshed was rampant among the system, pirates and independent systems ferociously fighting for their independence from the TIC tyrannical rule. Finally, the TIC had realized it was a battle they could not win, without drastic measure. They could not give up the war, or else they would suffer from withdrawing in the form of repetitive border attacks from the independent worlds. As the last resort, they constructed Zeus in 2110. A massive ring like structure in orbit of the desert world Innick, designed to make planets inhospitable to life. Aimed at the independent planetary bodies amongst the system, it was only 1 month from firing, before a small section of the TIC council put a stop to its construction, having the weapon damaged beyond repair intentionally. It wasn't long before the TIC armed forces could no longer hold their borders. The rest of the TIC council and its administration fled, collapsing the TIC to the small pockets of internal resistance remaining. The TIC, then reformed with the allegiances of all of the independent worlds in 2121, into the UFPS.

The UFPS arises

Founded upon the god principle, that they were not to interfere with the internal affairs of other worlds, and not interrupt the natural development of other cultures, they made it their mission to protect Solaris from outside threats, while keeping internal affairs peaceful and unified. In 2139, the Star Bridge was under construction, to be a massive tower, spanning and reaching beyond the atmosphere of the planet to allow for easier construction of space faring vessels, and transport of goods down to the surface. During design, the need for a way to redirect the impact from meteorites and debris orbiting Terra-Prime, left over from the TIC's failing war, arose. By 2146 the Star Bridge was complete, which featured a redirection shields aboard the giant structure, feeding off the planets reactor areas. It required 32 new reactor areas constructed to accommodate the power demands, of redirecting the energy of those impacts to other sections of the structure. For the following years, the star bridge was a national monument to UFPS achievements. In 2047, the Sagittarius line of ships was constructed, successfully managing and protecting the system from the odd pirate attack and the angry independent planetary system threatening war. All was peaceful and quiet, for the next 26 years. However, by 2173, it was clear the UFPS was stagnant and the chairman was hesitant to react. The systems needed to expand, the population was growing too slowly to support itself in the coming years in exploiting the abundant resources of the planets they inhabited. The chairman, Tenur Ilsung, a descendant of US activists aboard the Freedom, was attempting to orient the nation into a capitalist society with no luck. He had commissioned a new line of ships, and in 2179 had approved a new method of FTL, the tear drive (see Technology). Only months after, the chairman was killed amidst controversy after the executive shuttle Navy One depressurized the cabin mid-flight, killing all of his cabinet members and crew. The incident was blamed on an eroded door seal, but is still under investigation in regards to sabotage.

End of an era

Shortly after, chairman Scott Orion was elected by the council, and with approval from the dedicated and powerful navy captains, with the intentions of reaching out to the rest of humanity, those who had descended from those on earth (UFPS has abandonment issues I suppose) and to secure new opportunities in space. Relying on the classes of ships commissioned by the previous chairman, the newly discovered Tear Drive, and the now miniaturized but experimental redirection shields, he plans to participate in the conference hosted by Freeport in the coming months. In 2184, UFPS monitoring probes and unmanned drones picked up and deciphered the existence of such a conference, and today, shortly after the Star Bridge attacks, the UFPS is making preparations to meet with the executives of Freeport, discuss their involvement, and lead the UFPS into a new era. But Chairman Scott must act fast to prevent the fall of the great civilization from the new internal threats it faces. As of March 21, 2184, in a brutal terrorist attack on the Star Bridge, and similar attacks on smaller arrays like the Star Bridge on the core UFPS worlds, the UFPS is in panic. At 2:12 AM, two Hyperion Class shuttles en-route to UFSS Challenger and UFSS Apollo, were hijacked before crashing into the towers. Their once peaceful and Utopian lifestyle was shattered, the euphoria gone. Hysteria and madness had filled the void of the once luxurious care free UFPS life, and terrorism grips the system. Chairman Scott must reach out, further than ever before, to save the UFPS from the values it had struggled so hard to leave behind, those of paranoia and tyranny. Our story begins, as the UFPS gears up to head out back into the world, and rejoin with humanity.

-Chairman Scott Orion: Chaiman Orion is a young politician, elected into office for his great skills in persuasion, and his dream of putting the great nation on the track it had worked so hard to achieve. He fills the role of former Chairman Tenur Ilsung, after an accident aboard the executive shuttle "Navy One" resulted in the death of him and his cabinet members during decompression. Picking up the pieces from a reclusive and stagnant empire, he aims to grow the long arm of the UFPS to new horizons, without deadly conflict

-Captain William Ford: Captain of the UFSS Ark Royal, the flagship of the UFPS Navy, is an experienced and dedicated captain serving in the UFPS. He often strives toward peaceful resolution, but his tactical prowess has helped the UFPS many times throughout his career. He has refused the Admiral Position many times, remarking "My position is on a starship" and "I won't accept a slow and meaningless death". He was instrumental in the election of Chairman Scott, hoping him to be the leader that could bring the UFPS back on course.

-First Officer Jack Smith: He's been a first officer for 5 years now, mostly in patrol and re-supply missions. He has a tactical mindset and is eager to help and fight for his values, unaware of the terrible atrocities of war and combat. He was recently assigned to the Ark Royal after the previous first officer left to captain the UFSS Challenger. He moved from the UFSS Ireland to the UFSS Ark Royal only two days before our involvement begins.

-Governer Samuel Chang: Governer Chang is a descendant of the former chinese government, and comes from the family of in-mates retrieved from political imprisonment. He aims to bring the UFPS under his rule, and return it to the state of his country before the colonists left. His votes are constantly pro-censorship, more government control and a heavily militarized navy. He is a natural opponent to the Chairman, but he is an invaluable asset as he controls most of the ore deposits along the border of the UFPS territories.

-Isaac Jerico: A chief negotiator and ambassador for the Rashaan Confederacy, Isaac Jerico has worked with the UFPS extensively to resolve hostile situations and communicate effectively with the individual Independent Systems. He over the years, has become an instrumental asset in coordinating the Federation toward the goals it's set forth. Recently, and unexpectedly, the Rashaan Confederacy has begun distancing themselves from Mr. Jerico, being exempt from meetings and diplomatic affairs, forcing the old politician to work almost entirely and directly for the UFPS.

-Captain Ada Thompson: Born and raised near the border of Federation hostilities, Captain Thompson is no stranger to the horrors of war. She now commands a company of specially trained ground soldiers under the command of General Operations and it's naval division. Ada Thompson has dealt numerous times with the Io Confederacy, and has been known to display sympathy with the residents of Io. She has a strong patriotism for the Federation and will do anything for her country, so long as she knows it to be right.

-Admiral Lena Robinson: An Admiral working for the Federations General Operations branch, Lena Robinson has been involved in numerous investigations regarding Federation internal affairs. While she is devoted to the UFPS, she by no means finds it to be perfect. Over the years she has wrote many books criticizing the Federation and it's allies, sparking debate and controversy as well as repeatedly jeapordizing her position, although it has never hindered her work. She is by no means famous, but is well known for being a trustworthy individual and generally opposed to the actions of the CID.

- Owned Territory -

The UFPS territories are mostly passive, having full control over a total 8 core planets, and having atleast 26 independent worlds and their governments with their allegience. The main UFPS territories are extremely far from the main RP area, the location easily concealed among space, the UFPS borders not being a straightline but a smooth dissipating secure securer border, with the interior of the territories mostly patrolled by the security forces of the independent worlds, creating a spider web type system of patrols making the territories nearly impassible without clearance. The criteria for a UFPS "habitable world" is that human being can survive on the surface, without a pressurized suit for prolonged exposure. At least 24 UFPS worlds are that of planets, 10 of moons. 5 UFPS planets require oxygen mask for prolonged exposure, and 3 require environmental suits due to heat and radiation. Many of these types of worlds are still under the process of terra-forming, and the site of most recent conflict in Solaris.

Core Worlds

Terra Prime: Terra Prime is the homeworld of the UFPS, nearly all of the systems inhabitants can trace their roots back to Terra Prime. The destination of the original colonists arriving in Solaris and the site of the Star Bridge (and the recent terrorist attacks) the planet is part monument, and part driving machine of the federation. It hosts the facilities of the council, the main naval academy Ad Astra (Latin for, To the Stars) and the central facility for UFPS Command, and the operations centers for all major mining, terra-forming, and research projects in the system, the world is a hub of opportunity. If you're planning a trip to Solaris, it's wise to put Terra-Prime on your list, provided you have visitors clearance.

Terra Beta: If you're planning on learning all there is to know about Solaris, then Terra Beta is your best choice. 1/3 of the planet is owned and operated by the UFPS Historical Society, a collection of museums the size of small cities, housing the left over starships of the TIC and the independent worlds long ago, and carefully reconstructed replicas of old world technologies, on display with cutaway views and holographic "exploded" views of ships and devices, so that viewers can examine each part or segment holographically, an amazing experience. Most notably, the Vetus Navigatione Museum houses the original ETCP Freedom, although in subpar condition, after enduring numerous wars and conflicts over the years. The rest 2/3 of the planet, has been planned and constructed to house storage and refinement facilities, as well as processing plants situated on the surface for ores coming in from the smaller Star Bridge tower, only 70% the size of the original and less functional in terms of human transport and storage, and serves as an auxiliary world to Terra Prime in emergencies.

Terra Delta: Unless you're into mountain sized refineries pouring out acrid fumes dotting the landscape for kilometers around you, you'd probably be better off on Veridia. Terra Delta serves as the primary refinery planet for the federation, and is the heart of coal dust distillation. Along the furthermost front of the UFPS territories, mining operations along the rim of the system are plagued by constant coal leaks, which cause jams and clogs in oxygen ventilation and mining machinery, as well as the issue that coal formed along the rim of the system is highly explosive when ionized via thruster systems. Specialized drones and equipment are tasked with collecting the coal dust and transporting it to Terra Delta, where it is, over the course of a week, using the same methods used by Zeus, reduced into a tiny barely visible black particle, and then shipped to distribution stations among bone-dry asteroid fields. The process creates a large amount of de-ionized Omaha particles that have intertwined with oxygen. They are then discharged through the refinery smoke stack to dissolve in the atmosphere over the course of an hour. Only few unlawful citizens find themselves on Terra Delta to manage the robotic taskforce. As of 2182, the planets census is estimated at only 100,000 convicts. The only method of transport off the planet is through shuttles situated at the Star Bridge Delta, under UFPS control, and in-mates under tight security. The conditions on the planet are much less lavish then average, but accommodate the in-mates, with the simplistic AI planetside, managing the in-mates, work routines and schedules, as well as scheduling arrivals and departures. All in all, Terra Delta is probably not the best tourist destination.

Terra Gamma: Terra Gamma, is host to the Destinantur Stellas shipyards, the largest planetary and low orbit starship manufacturing facility in the system. The planet is 1/3 the size of a regular inhabitable planet such as Terra Prime, but maintains 5 star bridge facilities, and a sixth under construction, 1/5 the size of the original, but without storage capacity, and designed for human transport and lifting of extremely heavy components into low orbit. The towers are connected and partially intertwined by massive connecting bridges arcing over the surface of the planet, designed with small but extremely fast transport vehicles to ferry passengers to each construction area, and an array of large, slow moving, wheeled crawlers to ferry massive segments of starships over the surface of the bridges. In this low gravity, work can be done very easily on starships, being in the low gravity gives workers a sense of being grounded, and starship components can be easily lifted and fitted into place via machinery and taking advantage of gravity systems. The planet was chosen for the facility, due to its size and lack of any moons or natural satellites that may interfere with work in such low gravity. The workers on-board are either autonomous robotic humanoid drones, or human workers whose legacy and passion, is to build starships. These people love their job, and put extreme care and precision into the assemblage of every ship. In a good year, the facility can turn out 50-60 starships of varying size and purpose. The facility isn't much of a sight on the ground, but a flyby is breathtaking while touring Solaris.

Veridia: Veridia is the embodiment of paradise. It features stunning, sunlit golden beaches with picturesque seas of pure blue, glittering water. Algae and fish waste is practically non-existent in Veridian seas, due to the atmosphere overriding the hydrogen content of the water and making creatures that can survive off oxygen pockets in the water, impossible. However, live on Veridia a week, and due to radiation effects on the Alveoli in the human lungs becoming more effective, humans can survive up to five minutes on one breath. Also on Veridia, is the site of the massive Miron focusing array. Situated over the Miron crater, the 2 mile long array is used to concentrate radiation pouring in from an unmoving gap in the O-Zone layer of the atmosphere situated close to the crater. It has over 3600 large octagonal focusing lenses, all focused regularly by a central computer, to mature and form Veridia crystals faster than the natural process. Veridia crystals, are used to tune the laser guidance systems guiding tear drive equipped ships (see Technology) making them extremely useful. In recent years, the array has been able to turn out at most, 60 matured and precisely tuned crystals per year. Each crystal is delicately machined to precisely 120mm, and must pass multiple focusing and alignment tests before being cleaned, sterilized, and carefully loaded onto high security transport ships via autonomous precision handlers (Human hands contain oils and bacteria damaging to the delicate focusing process of the crystals) and shipped to Terra-Gamma for assembly into a Tear Drive. If you're planning on visiting Veridia, make sure to stop at the Chandler Observation Area for a few, its only a few miles from the array, but the view of the crater and the array is stunning, and you can occasionally see a transport shuttle lift off into low orbit before departure.

Innick: If weapons of mass destruction interest you (might want to get that checked out) then Innick is the place. While the surface of the planet is barren and inhospitable to light based on the refraction of Omaha particles off the atmosphere due to the atmosphere mostly being made up of nitrogen and magnesium, thanks to a volcanic eruption 3000 years prior to discovery, in geo-synchronous orbit of the planet, and chained through electro-magnetic segments, is the massive Zeus installation. It was once constructed with the goals of wiping out 2/3 of the system by the TIC (see Technology and History) and deactivated in 2114. Tethered to rotate around the station, is the Zeus historical museum. The museum holds free lectures and discussion sessions every few months regarding the TIC, Zeus, and the events of that time period, featuring acclaimed historians, philosophers and scientists. The only access to the museum is by public transportation, and no ships excluding automated defense and perimeter drones are permitted within 60 km of the installation. In fact, no living human has stepped aboard the installation in over 60 years, with the occasional historical or security drone observing and noting the perfectly preserved slice of the past, and the testament it is to the barbarity the UFPS evolved from. Current rumors also suggest, that the UFPS has been developing and constructing the [REDACTED] class [REDACTED] aboard an unidentified construction array, glimpsed orbiting the planet. But again, rumors...

Quoon: Quoon, is a planet, Terra-formed at the start of 2121. Since the planet was finished Terra-forming and plant Eco-systems introduced, only 5000 humans have stepped foot on the planet. The planet is carefully divided into individual sections, isolating them entirely. Each section has a different Eco-system, and different atmospheric settings. The life contained within each section is entirely different, some sections containing either animals, humans, or both. The story of Quoon is shrouded in controversy and intrigue, as in the year 2121, shortly after the UFPS came to power, the independent system of Quoon, wished to be isolated, and return to a simpler way of life (Sci-fi Amish?). The UFPS agreed due to the fact that Quoon provided the perfect opportunity for Terra-forming research, and set the terms that the inhabitants must be isolated into different regions for testing of Eco-systems. Each region, nearly 50, hosted the atmosphere and life of another UFPS world. These regions were tests, for what creatures, plants, microbes, bacteria, or systems to introduce to certain Eco-systems to better the Terra-forming and colonization process for humans and animals. Regions simulating certain planets have creatures and plants believed to benefit the environment introduced, and left to test at an accelerated rate thanks to genetically engineered microbes designed to increase development and reduce lifespan in all organic life. Other simulations test the interaction between humans and certain Eco-systems, via the original Quoon inhabitants, provided the Eco-system is proved not dangerous to humans. Much controversy has risen about the testing, as the original inhabitants have mostly died and spawned offspring, unaware they are in the test and of the UFPS's existence. Many argue the inhabitants are being held against their will, yet the federation is bound by the god principle. Either way, the inhabitants are staying for quite awhile now, and Quoon is a must for those visiting Solaris

Estudiant: To the citizens of the UFPS, the very name instills shame and anguish. An entire civilization and culture annihilated by their ancestors. From those on Iridel Seven in the far reaches of the system, to those situated on the very core of the UFPS, Estudiant is not just the name of the planet, but it's nearly a synonym for genocide. People from all around Solaris gather in the week of Memoria, to remember and reflect on how far they had come from the accidental slaughter, to the nation they were today. Not only was it a week of mourning for those on Estudiant, but it is a week of great political tide. More than ever, the planet stirs up patriotism, as parades march down the streets on the core worlds and many independent worlds, remembering the victims of the tragedy, and reflecting on the greatness of the UFPS (It's not creepy if you call it patriotism!). It's also a great time of Xenophobia, so probably don't come during that week (although it's quite a show, fireworks, speeches, parades, political events) if you would like some hospitality. The planet although irradiated, has many historical museums in orbit and occasionally during special events, shuttles tourists, school children, and political figures down to Remembrance bases, stationed among the fallout to receive shuttles and study the Estudiant and the culture they had come from, their lifestyle, the events before their arrival, and other questions regarding the Estudiant. All in all, Estudiant is a special place for UFPS citizens, and it's advised if you're stopping by to pay your respects, and leave.

The Ciroh Independent Nation

The Ciroh Independent Nation have been long known for their contribution to domestic needs over the years. From raw ore to massive food production, the Ciroh have been an invaluable asset to the Federation over the years in terms of internal growth. Thousands of tons of supplies are shipped to UFPS core worlds each day from Ciroh planets. In addition to being a huge supplier of raw goods, the Ciroh have also made a name for themselves in hosting some of the most industrious drone manufacturing plants throughout Solaris. While the Ciroh Nation holds 5 worlds within it's grasp, some notable planets include that of Copia, a smaller oxygenated world that has been finely isolated and terra-formed over the years into a planet almost entirely centered on food production. Although they are one of the leaders in electronics production, the Ciroh Independent Nation are still heavily reliant on UFPS vessels for its production.

The Rashaan Confederacy

Rashaan worlds are known to be a hotbed of military activity. Much of the civilian population is stationed on Rashaan Alpha, Sigma, Theta and Gamma, rich moons orbiting the gaseous giant planet Ortis. The main attraction of the system is Rahsiasis One, Two, and Three, which are massive trade routes leading directly to the UFPS core worlds. The planets orbit closely together in relativity to Terra Prime, acting as gateways into the core worlds. Were an attack to occur, fleets would be called to this area named the Rahsiasis Corridor to fend off any attackers taking the short way into the core world ring. The worlds also act as stations for multiple UFPS naval bases and research centers, with occasional civilian trade platforms scattered about to feed off the wealth of passing merchant craft. It is estimated that over 6,700 ships pass through the Cirosias Corridor each day, and it is a major hub of activity. The Rashaan Confederacy encompasses 7 worlds, and having been a massive contributor to the UFPS in the early days, are a powerful independent body in the Solaris system.

- Owned Installations -

The UFPS owns numerous bases and installations. On the home planet of the UFPS, Terra Prime, a massive spacedock, the "Star Bridge" tower extends up beyond the gravitational pull of the atmosphere, allowing ships and materials able to be easily shipped up to cargo ships and naval ships docked at the tower. The tower was constructed in 2056 and is (was) a national monument to UFPS achievements. A smaller and barebones type installation is present on all UFPS core worlds (Terra Prime, Terra Beta, Terra Delta, Terra Gamma ) but cannot dock more than 4 ships and is incapable of launching ships from the tower. On Estudiant, a small armed security force guards the Estudiant Massacre Museum (see History) in where archaeological teams, tourists and school children are shipped down to view and inspect the ruins to study the former species... In orbit of Innick is the massive Zeus, a weapon constructed to destroy the rebellion and masses of independent systems fighting against the TIC, via destroying the atmosphere of those worlds and systems. The weapon is now non-functional, and has been disassembled beyond repair and is now a testament to the progress the UFPS has made and what they must not create. The giant ring like device fed off the immensely destructive energy particles generated in the planets atmosphere. (See History and Technology for more details)

Energy Redistribution Shields (ERS)

Energy Redistribution Shields were developed during the time of the construction of the Star Bridge, to disperse the stress the structure endured having not reaching geosynchronous orbit, as well as debris in the atmosphere left over from the TIC's bloody conflicts. ERS is in place on all modern UFPS craft such as the Challenger and Ark Royal class. The system relies on ship circuitry to absorb kinetic, electrical and other types of weaponized or harmful energy directed at the hull, and smartly spreading it to other areas of the ship to minimize damage. The system is taxing on ships circuitry, often damaging other systems while spreading damage. For example, if someone were to launch a torpedo at a damaged UFPS ships bridge, the bridge would spread the damage to other parts of the ship, while still putting crew and most of the bridge out of service in terms of circuitry damage and burns on the crew from bursting electrical panels. The damage is still prevalent, but not as fatal. The system is designed to minimize damage to the hull and save the crew in the event of conflict. As with most UFPS tactical technology, the system is designed so that the crew can remained relatively unharmed while attacking and subduing vessels of lesser size, filling a law enforcement role and supplementing UFPS crew survival rates.

The Tear Drive

While many starships native to Solaris rely on primitive warp drive systems used by those arriving in the Solaris Sector in the 2090's by chance, newer UFPS ships use the Tear Drive. The drive uses extremely delicate and finely tuned Veridia Crystals, to align and guide the ship properly via laser targeting systems. The method relies on varying levels of relatively new quantum physics, based on the idea that there is a version of our universe, another dimension, that is smaller than ours by an order of magnitude, compressed in physical terms. The two universes intersect in certain, virtually undetectable points that are fairly common throughout the entire universe. Using the Tear Drive, a vessel can "tear" through these points momentarily, as if it were a needle slipping through fabric. Once inside the alternate dimension, using the guidance system, the vessel maneuvers to the point in which it can "tear" through to another point in our space. For them in that dimension, the trip was only a couple hundred thousand kilometers. For us, it was light years. These points already torn through are never repaired, but can only be traveled through by ships with a Tear Drive. Current estimates proclaim that nonstop usage of the Tear Drive for the next 1 million years will result in the two dimensions beginning to merge, so the UFPS has restrictions applied to the usage of the tear drive. A ship can only tear through every 2 hours via computer imposed sanctions, but can be overrided. If a tear is detected within 50 kilometers of the ship, it must use that tear and not create another. Again, this can be overrided, but is heavily advised. If a ships Veridia Crystals are damaged or found to be improperly aligned, it can open and travel through tears, but it cannot calculate where a new tear may place them. Opening or travelling through a tear leading to an unknown location is extremely dangerous, as it can place the vessel inside a star or planet, although rare. At current, it is estimated that 250 vessels in-service have full usage of the tear drive.

Zeus

Zeus, as noted in the History Section, under "The TIC Begins", Zeus was a massive ring like array in orbit of Innick, built to destroy rebellion and the independent systems that the TIC could not hold on the offensive any longer. The array fed off of Omaha Particles, a particle generated by the atmosphere of Innick being ionized by the suns radiation. When coupled with oxygen, these ionized particles could reduce the number of atoms and molecules within the substance, gas, or matter it was used with. The Arrays purpose was to direct the Omaha particles at the atmosphere of all independent worlds, and slowly destroy it from the inside via the o2 in the atmosphere. The method and all others like it are banned in Solaris by the UFPS and will not be used in the role play.
AMCI

AMCI (Advanced Modular Control Interface, pronounced; Am-Sea) is a control software used on all starships, cities, installations and computer aided structures throughout Solaris. Many versions of the software are in service, but they all share the same basic characteristics. The Am-Sea software is designed to work with other starships sharing the system, exchanging information and updates to the software automatically and creating a network of information feeding into central data-bases on Stations and structures sharing AMCI. On naval ships, AMCI is highly modular and oriented to the specific workstation, with each terminal communicating and relaying information automatically to benefit the crew. For instance, a helm officer has is own personalized version of AMCI that travels with him to every terminal. As he sits down to his helm station and touches the control terminal, the screen scans and identifies his fingerprint to confirm his identity. It then accesses his files and settings he has stored and displays the interface to his personal liking. The officer may have his station set up that the helm program is displayed primary, and Ops station sensors are also displayed secondary, and he may have it set so that sensors will display information to the station beneficial to piloting the ship. When he leaves his station and goes off duty he can them access his personal interface, which he may have set to display news primary, with reminders, events, his schedule displayed secondary to the news. He can communicate to anyone on any other terminal, even at long subspace distances, and by using a chain of starships in communications range of each other, data from any other starships chained to a central database can be accessed. Much information is stored and interpreted between multiple ships, for example, a flight path taking a vessel through a tear may be shared with multiple ships in range, and eventually uploaded to the central computer, meaning that every ship in the UFPS can be tracked by any other ships, almost regardless of range, maintaining that the two ships are in communications range of a chain connecting to the central computer. All in all, the system is effective, universal, and highly efficient to operation of the UFPS.

UFPS Weapons (Ground) and Personnel Protection Systems

-I-15 Semi-Automatic Electrostatic suppression handgun

Standard issue among security, police, and general self protection, the weapon fires a 30mm burst of electro-static energy drained from a 4 inch cylindrical power pack loaded into the rear of the gun. The weapon has a relatively short barrel but maintains superb accuracy due to the projectile not being physical in nature. When fired against a civilian wearing standard attire or bullet proof fabric, the charge penetrates the skin and temporarily subdues the victim for a 10 minute time span. It is ineffective against any type of metal, including personal armor, and that of other vehicles with hull plating. It can penetrate most types of glass and through other materials such as wood, concrete and most fabrics excluding kevlar. The round is completely non-lethal, and even at full power at point blank range, leaves only 2nd degree burns. The weapon is ineffective in combat against armed ground troops, but used primarily in security and police forces. The weapon has been the standard for 5 years now, and has been a symbol of UFPS authority.

-5.67 Caliber F-71 Automatic Anti-Personnel Rifle

The F-45 fires 45mm Body-armor penetrating rounds at 800 rounds per minute to a range of 80 meters. The weapon is designed for urban combat in defense scenarios, taking place in cities, or aboard starships. The rounds are designed to penetrate personal body armor such as kevlar or light metal armor plating. The weapon is a favorite among special security task forces, as well as soldiers stationed on worlds with mass civil unrest such as Io. The weapon is mostly used against armed combatants, or as a security measure on starships, with each modern UFPS ship carrying at least 1 for every 2 crewman. The weapon is sleek, aerodynamic even, with the handle jutting downward and a sleek, large trigger guard arcing upwards serving as a secondary handle. The weapon is very light thanks to rubber and other light materials used as the handle and stock, with machined aluminum comprising the frame of the gun. The stock of the slides out from the main assembly and is triangular in nature, connecting to the rear of the handle. The barrel juts out 3 inches from the main gun assembly, with the assembly given a light rubber coating over the top and sides to minimize impact stress. The gun comes in different colors depending on department types of either naval, civil, command or development. All in all the gun is commonplace on unstable worlds and secured high profile starships or command centers throughout the UFPS.

-Kevlar/Titanium Vest and Body Armor

This vest and armor combination is prevalent and common-place wherever I-15 and F-45 weapons are in play. The vest and armor is very light and flexible, retaining two layers of tightly packed Kevlar, and strong bent titanium covering areas of the body containing vital organs, making the armor safe and still viable in combat. The armor is in use for security personnel and soldiers, with Kevlar titanium helmets, boots, full torso pieces, as well as pants. The vest retains a dark black overcoat with a small LED light mounted on the shoulder, ammo pouches covering the waist, magnetic clips on the chest and side for mounting the I-15 and F-45, and a mounting point on the back for gear to be stowed on the back of the wearer. Patches and insignia's for whatever department using the vest, are mounted on the left chest and right shoulder, with department name and authority mounted on the front and back of the vest. The helmet piece features a flip down dust visor, with a miniature projection system displaying wearer status, as well as communications channels, and retains functionality as night vision and heat vision goggles, removing the need for bulky visual extremities mounted on the helmet. It also features built in microphones, as well as linkage to monitoring systems in the main body armor and communications equipment primarily mounted on the back of a soldier. The main armor can monitor heartrate, blood pressure, external and internal injuries, and monitor elevation and temperature. The armor is similar to that of the vest in terms of mounting points and insignias. Modules are in-service for oxygen tanks, communications packs, extended operations packs for prolonged missions, and medical packs, all usable with the standard vest. However, the full armor suit comes in a white and black theme, with other themes such as jungle camouflage, urban camouflage, and woodland camouflage. The armor is deployed on all UFPS worlds that are under civil unrest or retain organized conflict, and in government buildings where security is in dire need. The armor and vest, all retain UFPS military themes of "Quality over Quantity" and "Smarter, not harder".

- T-20 Hazardous Environment Suit

The T-20 works mostly as a suit aiding in maintenance and construction in non-atmospheric conditions, as well as hazardous environments down on atmospheric worlds, that are dangerous to human exposure. The suit is comprised of a Nylon and Polymer material, stretched over a light, titanium robotic exoskeleton. The exoskeleton works similar to the UHDP-221, providing the wearer with increased mobility in atmospheric conditions. The suits outer layers are a shell of titanium segments nearly self assembled via the skeleton. Some sections of the suit susceptible to injury contain a thin layer of titanium, on areas such as chest, knees, ankles, and neck. The helmet is a mix of titanium framing, with plastic and rubber interior sections for soft padding, and an titanium outer shell of the rear of the helmet. The front of the helmet is a clear Pyrex section, with a small film layered over the front designed to allow a small projector in the helmet to display external and internal information, and any other data pertaining to the suits purpose. The suit works in gravitational and non-gravitational environments. The suit, like the Vest and Body Armor combination, contains numerous magnetic mounting points for maintenance and construction tools, as well as weapons or any other equipment. On the back and shoulders are insignia and patches containing the wearers name and authority. Mounted on the back is a standard size oxygen tank good for 10 hours. A mounting point next to the tank allows for a backup oxygen recycling unit to be installed, prolonging EVA time. The suit is in use aboard all construction arrays, and starships with dedicated maintenance crews.

-Fourth Generation Standard Operations Attire
While many consider the operations suit to be unnecessarily flashy, appearing to be designed more for looks than utility, the SOA (Standard Operations Attire) Suit has been designed over four generations to be form fitting, comfortable during normal operations such as managing starship systems, maintaining combat watch, or during periods of physical activity such as urban combat, the suit has been developed to embody UFPS authority, pride, and engenuity. UFPS body armor can easily fit over the parts of the suit, with the jacket easily removable for easier access. Layers of fabric have been designed to absorb and dissipate sweat into outer layers to minimize user discomfort, and to make the suit still usable after combat or other times of physical strain. Parts of the attire have been reinforced on areas such as knees, elbows, groin, shoulders, and chest, with thin kevlar layers, enough to stop small low velocity rounds from penetrating, and designed to prevent minor damage to those areas in the event of a fall. The suit belt is equipped with minor medical supplies, two clips for the I-29 handgun, and a magnetic attachment point for handguns. The belt can be fitted to carry grenades, tools, or anything else required by standard UFPS staff.

-UHDP-221 Drone
The UHDP-221 (Universal Humanoid Drone Platform) is a common sight on most high profile UFPS worlds and starships. The drone acts as supplement to police, maintenance, security, and construction personnel. The drone is used primarily in areas where it is too dangerous for human interaction, when human forces require autonomous aid, and where a non-organic humanoid can operate more effectively and efficiently. Police variants work mostly alongside human officers, with 1 drone per officer in large operations. In normal duty, many officers work alone, as do many drone officers. They are capable of autonomously pursuing civilians and others who have committed criminal offenses, as well as resolving civil disputes and other small civilian conflicts. The drone is programmed to work with the civilian populace, instead of working by the book to its entirety, the drone is capable of making decisions that a human officer may make. For example, the fine for petty theft in the UFPS is 20 days community service, with possibility of 2 days jail time. If a drone finds a suspect, who has stolen a small object from another civilian, but cooperates with authority in returning the item, and the victim does not wish to press charges, the suspect may be let off. Drones are programmed to avoid harming human beings, including through inaction. The drones are self aware on a limited basis, in that they are aware but not conscious. The drones report to the highest authority, but exemptions are made. For example, if a civilian says to a drone "My dog is stuck in my burning house, please, go save him!" then the drone must execute that order so long as it does not conflict with any other directives. All in all, the drone has been influential in building the UFPS, and will serve the nation for many years to come.

UFPS Naval Combat Systems

UFPS Naval might draws heavily from the phrase "Smarter, not harder" in the way that UFPS weapons focus mainly on increasing efficiency, power, and weapon spread rather than yield and penetration. Weapons on UFPS ships for the past four decades have been developed to manage civilian populations, fight pirates or other warring factions, and protect the peace. UFPS ships work in numbers, as do their weapons, so UFPS weapons are designed to work together. All ESB Weapons, are heavily susceptible to internal damage, and cannot fire frequently due to energy radiation concerns. UFPS weapons are designed to minimize waste, so weapons firing physical projectiles are rare. Ships advanced in electronic warfare, or thick/absorbant hulls, will have the upper hand versus UFPS ships.

-20 MM ASCWS Automated Weapons Platform

The ASCWS (Anti-Small Craft Weapon System) is used on UFPS ships to take out and effectively destroy fighter craft, bombers, and other offensive small craft during battle. The weapon fires 20mm low yield explosive rounds at 8000 rounds per minute (133 per second) from 8 rotating barrels. The ammunition differs, from small low yield explosive rounds set on a timer, to short range EMP rounds (0.5 meters maximum range EMP effects). The weapon barrels are protected by a titanium covering over the top and side of the barrels, with the main gun assembly encased in a machined aluminum shell for increased maneuverability. The gun is fully automated, able to track craft moving at 400 m/s and a distance of 1 kilometer. The weapon system retracts into the hull of the ship during transit and general operations to minimize damage from small space debris and other phenomena.

-Electro-Static Beam Director

The ESBD fires large, high velocity, but relatively harmless electrical projectiles at the hull of starships and directed at vital systems. The projectile, using a line of site microwave transmission, transfers power into the projectile, melting the hull and frying insulated systems in proximity to the projectile. The projectile, then terminates itself via a small explosive charge, doing small damage and obliterating the device. The ESBD is mounted on ships in a small beam nozzle format, with the device carrying little force behind it. The beam is visible by only a thin electrical stream trailing from the nozzle of the gun to the device embedded onto the hull.
The ESBD requires a 4 minute cooldown, but interfaces with other ESBC's on both the same ship, and others, to target areas such as a bridge or hangar bay, using the combined arms to punch through hulls and do massive internal damage. The weapon is encased in a titanium bubble, with ammunition funneled from beneath the main hull into the weapon. During transit and general operations, the gun is retracted into the hull for maintenance and to prevent contamination in the beam nozzle from dust and debris.

-Electro-Static Burst Cannon

The ESBC, fires a small burst format salvo of 50mm electro-statically charged projectiles into the targets hull. The weapon fires 30 projectiles per burst, over a period of 4.5 seconds, with a cool down time of 1.5 minutes. The rounds unleash a small, localized electrical pulse straight into the armor of a ship on impact, that creates a small explosive force, short circuiting smaller systems, and melting the hull. In combination with other ESBC's, the weapon can punch straight through the hull of a ship, also causing major internal systems damage in the affected areas. ESBC's target either individually, or communicate with other ESBC's on the same ship to target the same spot and localize damage. The ESBC is highly effective in pin-pointing ship systems at short ranges and destroying them, eliminating the need for bomber roles in the UFPS. Like most other UFPS naval weapons, the gun is retracted into the hull during transit.

The Sagittarius Class is the workhorse of the interior of the UFPS. Cheap, reliable, and suited for a variety of purposes. The ship is primarily in use maintaining the UFPS and it's territories, running cargo resupply missions, ferrying emissaries and other political figures of other worlds to the UFPS, solving border disputes and patrolling UFPS space for pirates and raiders. The ship type is over 40 years old now, with over 400 in active service and 100 in museums, laboratories or junkyards. The oldest original, and partly functioning Sagitarrius Class ship (A classic constructed in 2101) is the UFSS Sagitarrius. These ships only see use in the interior of the UFPS and are falling apart piece by piece over time. They are soon to be phased out by the new UFPS ships. They are not equipped with Tear Drives and have only minimal armor, complement, and weapons systems

The Victory Class is a relatively new ship class, designed and first constructed in 2180 amidst intelligence reports of a hostile alien race known as the Styx. The ship hosts only person ell needed in combat situations and most have not even left the drydock. Only 20 have ever been created, and 4 are in active service, mostly patrolling UFPS Core worlds. Hosting a complement of 30 Raptor Class fighter craft which operate in squadrons of 7, and a complement of 4 Tear Torpedos which when launched at an enemy vessel, can transport said vessel to the smaller pocket dimension that long range UFPS vessels use (see Technologies) so it can be captured and cornered by UFPS forces. The battleship is crew to 220, over half of which are autonomous personnel (Drones).

The Ark Royal, one of the newest ships in the federation fleets, is an exploration cruiser capable of making long and distant journeys to perform tasks wherever the Federation needs them done. From precision strikes in the heart of enemy territory, to re-supply runs to distant planets, the Ark Royal is becoming the go-to vessel for new Federation space endeavors. Recently participating at the battle of Terra Prime, and along the frontlines of UFPS skirmishes with Io Confederacy naval fleets, the new line of ships has been proven and tested in the heat of battle. With over 300 meters in length, and a crew of 290, the Ark Royal is one of the largest ships in the UFPS Naval fleet, allowing the ship a wide range of activities. The vessel features several new invents to UFPS ships, such as thruster doors to minimize maneuvering thruster damage during combat, retractable weapons systems, and ejection systems covering all volatile materials aboard the ship such as the main reactors. The vessel can compete with vessels of cruiser or destroyer status (as classified by the UFPS fleet) but works extremely well when paired with naval battle groups, either as command ship, or a support vessel.

The Challenger Class Escort acts as a little brother to Ark Royal Class ships, usually supporting them in escort roles, or patrolling territories in sentry positions. The Challenger carries a crew of up to 150, made up of security personnel, weapons managers, fighter pilots, and combat engineers. The ship has been engineered to be light and fast, able to quickly strafe ships quickly from short ranges, and "Tear" out, suffering little damage. The ship also fills a stealth role, designed for silent running, undetectable by most passive sensor scans until the ship is almost right on top of you. The ship can support her crew for over 8 months before requiring re-supply due to the smaller downsized food storage areas and compressed water tanks. The ship does not do well in large battles against multiple starships, but excels during battles in which the craft can move freely and quickly destroy targets without critical damage thanks to it's speed. The ship has been designed for sting operations while in UFPS space, intercepting pirates and smugglers quickly and efficiently. But while in unknown territory, the ship trails larger vessels from a distance in an effort to decieve attacking forces into thinking UFPS fleets are much smaller than they actually are. The ship carries minimal defensive and automated armaments in the form of cannons and rotational weapons, relying on its 8 forward 200mm missile launchers to deal damage while at breakneck speeds and evasive maneuvers, requiring 1 minute between reloads, but also requiring the ship to aim for it. All in all, the ship has served the new UFPS fleet effectively and it will be seen whether or not the ship can stand the test of time

The Viceroy Class acts as a massive mobile command center, for newly established UFPS operations in foreign territories. The ship is crew to over 2000 UFPS personnel and civilians, over a kilometer long, and is able to support many more for short periods. Viceroy Class starships are large enough to service most cruiser sized starships extensively, and can provide maintenance for nearly all variety of vessels. The Viceroy relies on massive storage units, automated mining drones, and routine civilian cargo ships to maintain food and maintenance supplies, and is nearly self sufficient. The vessel is one of few ships capable of growing its own food to house the large population inside, and features extensive materials processing facilities. The command ship boasts over 8 dedicated hangar bays, with a maximum shuttle capacity of 16, and sports its own Air Traffic Control Tower to manage all traffic around the vessel. Viceroy class ships comes with only defensive armaments, and is useful in tactical scenarios only by supporting other vessels behind the action, as it is vulnerable in combat, even with a maintained escort. Viceroy Class ships use extensive electronic warfare techniques to disrupt and manipulate communications and scans, making the vessel adequate in the information monitoring role. To active scans, the vessel can use nearby objects to "blend in" to its surroundings electronically, taking the appearance of an asteroid or group of derelict ships. This charade is not impenetrable, and further scans can easily break this deception. There are currently two Viceroy type ships in active service, out of four planned, including the UFSS Viceroy and UFSS [REDACTED].

Over the last few years, Hyperion Series shuttles have proved themselves to be the quickest, safest, and most efficient way to transport goods and people either out of the atmosphere or between planets. The standard transport shuttle can sit 16 passengers, each with a personalized LCD screen fitted into the rear of each headrest, loaded with the AMCI of each individual passenger to maximize comfort and efficiency during transit. The shuttle also can transport up to 2 tons in cargo, into orbit or interplanetary. Each Hyperion shuttle has been tested for maximum crash safety and can sustain 18 people for 30 days maximum in the event of being stranded. Also, Hyperion shuttles personalized for civilian use are available for those on the go often, in the either "camper van" fashion or as a compact transport. Navy One uses an enlarged Hyperion shuttle frame to carry the UFPS Chairman in comfort, style, and security. Following in the footsteps of much of Solaris culture, the Hyperion has become a symbol of UFPS luxury.

Navy One has been designed to aid in transport of the Chairman of the United Federation of Planetary Systems offworld and into the atmosphere, in style, safety and comfort. The shuttle has been equipped with the most reliant outer coating, and an experimental ERS designed to redirect energy, not to all parts of the ship, but away from the main cabin where the Chairman is located in-flight. The craft is fitted with titanium shelling and aluminum interior body panels to minimize damage to interior sections, and comes with five Duolux 772 Supercharged Ion Engines to maximize speed. It comes installed with the most advanced sensor and stealth systems available to small craft of it's size to maintain a low profile and monitor all traffic near the craft. 4 Pilots manage all systems, with 3 Compact ASCSWS's maintaining a 360 degree weapon arc to deter incoming ships. During all flights, an Ark Royal Class starship tails Navy One from a distance to deter any larger vessels from attacking, alongside 2 Challenger Class ships maintaining a lock on coordinates close in proximity to Navy One using the Tear Drive, ready to Tear through and destroy any large attackers at a moments notice. Navy One is also escorted by two Raptor Class fighter squadrons on both flanks, making attacks on the Navy One extremely hard to execute. Alongside sheer firepower, Navy One is also aided in deception by two identical clones, travelling in identical formations to the real Navy One to hide the Chairmans whereabouts and making it highly unlikely that someone could take out the right shuttle. The shuttle is now shrouded in controversy, after a previous model vessel suffered from explosive decompression, killing the Chairman Tenur Ilsung. The shuttle has had many forms over the years, but by far, the current model, is the most advanced of them all.

The Raptor Class Fighter is a light, fast, and long range fightercraft specializing in seeking out and destroying enemy small craft. The ship functions as both Bomber and Interceptor for the UFPS, escorting small craft and large vessels alike in squadrons of 7. The fighter boasts impressive maneuverability, but suffers in the acceleration department thanks to the single forward thruster. The craft is capable of accelerating to high speeds and taking out individual targets as a single fighter, with entire squadrons working to cripple ships by systematically disabling key systems, in the way an ESBC might target systems. The fighter is good for over 3 days of travel without refuel or re-supply, but squadrons of Raptors usually patrol areas near high profile installations and starships. The Raptor Class was designed to fit all modern UFPS ships, and is carried in at least 1 squadron bundles on nearly every UFPS ship. The fighter usually carries 1 pilot, but can seat a second co-pilot for long flights or pin-point strikes. In it's entirety, the Raptor has served UFPS Naval forces well in the past year, and is expected to do so for many more.

The M-90 can be constructed specifically for mining, construction, salvage or most other purposes for civilian use. 4 Repair drones minimum are aboard each UFPS starship, and many more outfitted for mining and salvage are in service aboard civilian mining and salvage haulers, supplying the UFPS in exchange for outside currency and internal growth. The M-90 basic design hasn't been updated for 20 years now, but the drone is still in operation and reliably so, with over 400 in service to civilian partners, and 100 in the UFPS total. Last year, only 10 M-90 Drones were required to be manufactured, just furthering how reliable the drone is. The drone is entirely Autonomous, linking with the central server and AMCI system of the ship for information on ore deposits or damage to the hull and outside systems, excluding the need for a human operator. Some manual drones are in service in planetary bomb squads and delicate construction and materials handling, but the vast majority are autonomous.

The Concorde Gunship is equipped with three autonomous turret weapons platforms, and is capable of extreme maneuverability. The ship is a two seater, and allows the second pilot to gain control of any turret on-board via an in-helmet HUD, allowing the gunner to fire in any direction that they look. The ship is designed to maintain a small range from the combat area, and use the on-board automatic weaponry to fire at enemy fighter-craft, picking them off from afar. The ship was has been in service for over a year now, and has proven itself on the front lines as a combat gunship.
