    Summary:
Hello Engineers! A smaller-than-usual update this week, as we are now dedicating our full attention to polishing our next major release. This week we add the visual inventory system to the simple table, it now shows you the items in there. Additionally, we fixed a bug where grids were not merging correctly, sometimes causing ghost grids on the server.

    Features:
    - Added Visual Inventory to the Simple Table.

    Fixes:
    - Fixed an issue where grids would merge and unmerge in the same moment, causing clients and the server to desync.
    - Fixed a minor memory leak.

Very cool, and I really like that storage container mod. Hope you guys can find some inspiration there to get similar things into vanilla :)

    From strength to strength.

Cannot wait for this game to be finished with the direction it's now taking.

    GG guys.

"We cleaned up the code base" doesn't make for an exciting major release, but as a software guy, I totally understand how much better it makes working with the code. That'll certainly pay dividends down the road. KSP had a similar effort last year and it preceded some great feature updates, so I'm excited about this one as well.

If "We cleaned up the code base" can be translated to "MP performance will increase" Than I am very happy.

I'm not angry that the update is here so early, just disappointed.
I would have liked to check on the server I play on before I go to classes. :(

Memory leak fixes are nice, few players I know effected by them. :D

Wait I thought the next major release was mechanical blocks. Does this mean they come with the cleaned up code and the increased in game accessibility or did they got pushed back?

Polishing underlying code is always a good thing for games in development, many things get added and after some time the spaghetti bowl grows and grows. ;)

Keep on the good work guys. :tu:

Cleaning up code doesnt always equate to better performance, but it makes it easier to track down and resolve the things that ARE causing performance issues. It also makes development easier and generally improves morale when working in the codebase.

Way to go, Keen! Fixing memory leaks is awesome. Not a small release in my mind - having done heap walking to find the same in my past. Keep up the great work, it's inspiring. :tu:

Not sure if it's from this update or not, but I started a new server, started playing on it, and I now cannot research farming. I put all the required items in the research table, and for some reason the barrel doesn't count, it just stays red. If I press "craft" anyway, it crashes the server. Happened 3 times so far at the same instant, so it is definitely repeatable.

Eagerly await the removal of the magic rotor block for more appropriate block types. Wish they would quit putting in SE that which is needed in ME. Wolves and windmills my ass. Love ya!
