    Summary
Hello, Engineers! This week we have some more palisades for you to play with! Previously, in order to build curved palisade walls you would have to place the straight wall palisades in free building, but it also meant you got holes. Now you have round and diagonal walls to make your fortifications look better. We also put the palisades behind research called Wooden Defences. Additionally, we have moved wheels from mechanics to a new research called Wheelwrighting and then removed the metal from it. This will allow you to make your carts a little earlier in the game.
We are also showing the very first preview of future mechanical block systems - enjoy!

    Features
    - Added round palisades.
    - Added diagonal palisades.
    - Added wooden defences
    - Added wheelwrighting research. (It is unlocked by carpentry.)

    Balance & Fixes
    - Removed metal from the wheels, you can now make your carts early game.
    - Removed collision model from the berry bushes, you can now walk through.
    - Polished the grass voxels and foliage, the grass is greener on our side.
    - Applied glue to the large slope battlements multiblock, it no longer falls apart in survival.
    - Updated some tree cutting definitions, the last sneaky tree that dropped round timbers instead has been log-ified

1 question Are there two different types of wheels or were wheels not taken out of description for the mechanics? Also portcullis are still in the defensive stone works description

Now that we're already on the subject of carts, I would like to see pushing carts be made easier.
Right now, if you set up a cart with chests and fill the chests with rocks, it becomes very difficult to move the cart. This makes using carts a bad choice for resource transportation, especially considering I can just pick up all those rocks, stuff them in my pockets and not slow down one bit, while still being able to move all those rocks that I couldn't move with the cart.

I'd like some glue... glue and feather traps for them Barbarians. Seriously, glue as a component would be interesting, use the cooking fire to make it and some things that use metal parts that could be replaced with glue would be easier to make?

Sneaky little trees and their round timbers were so annoying, glad they've been exposed and properly stuffed like the turkeys they were. Speaking of turkeys, how about a blunderbuss?

What I would like is an adhesive to act as a merge block.

Using"animal fats" in a fire or other medium to boil down.
Would then be able to attach timbers and other potential mount points to mount points.

Also could create fasteners(bolts and screws) later on in the tech tree, might be more in line with the mechanics/mill tech range.

Oh YES! Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for the low tech wheels! I had a real hard time building even a simple cart, but now it should be much more achievable.
Also, the screenshots from the upcoming mechanical update look simply amazing! Finally we get this treadmill like block that could be seen in the trailer for ages!
Will there be also some kind of water power? That'd be great. Although you would have to add water, then.

First glance at the hamster wheel: "is that a water wheel?"
Finds out its a hamster wheel: "how do you get in?"
Just now: "are we getting hamsters?"

Keep up the good work! Those mechanical blocks are exerting a strong pull to get me to play again.

Ugh. The grass is definitely greener—so green in fact that I have to set the grass density to at least normal in order to find iron deposits again.

Looking forward to those *TEASING* wheelbased machinery propulsion concepts. We certainly do not need a torture chamber with rack as long as Tim knows how to TEAAAAAAAASE the audience by outlooks on future content, like this:

Very nice additions and fixes guys. To be honest, the two teasers of the new mechanical blocks / construction possibilities caught me the most though.

I almost can't wait to see what will be possible to do with those. ;)

    Greets,
