Realized an update had happened when a cargo ship munched me to bits instead of flaccidly accepting capture.

It may do well to include a friendly transmission for your own ships and suit, in the form of a code input by players; would open the opportunity for disguising your ship against enemy turrets if you manage to discover their friendly-codes.

Yeah, but this update just didn´t do it for me like previous updates has, for example Conveyors,
that was some epic update that added so much to the game.
This recent focus on weapons and things that go boom isnt of that much interest to me, but if
you like it, good for you m8.

I hope you do realize that during the development of this game all _weekly_ updates will not "hit" every ones good-spot?
Makes you kinda look like a douche. The dev team is working real hard to both bugfix, optimize and bring new content in each patch. With other games in development you are lucky if you get a monthly update.

Be happy and thankfull for the updates that come.

If the community nags too much why should they keep doing their best effort?
Even if I don't use weapons and stuff myself, I love the fact that capturing a ship is now not that easy. Try to see the positive in an update even if it doesn't tickle your fancy all that much. :)

We don't need concrete in space!

There is a suggestion forum for such things. I do see some needs for concrete, but let's cover that in the correct place. :)

You got the quote wrong there m8, not my post in the box, anyway.

Im amazed that just by posting a comment that was meant to show some mild dissapointment over
and update that you wait for all week and not find that great to be so offensive by some.

SE is one of the greatest games atm in my opinion, KSH one of the best developers no doubt, but this
is a forum non the less, you should be allowed to post both positive and negative posts without being
called a douche etc just for not loving everything without question.

That doesnt mean i hate KSH or the game, on the contrary, the game and updates (most of em) are
great, but i hope this game isn´t going to be just weapon focused rather than having an actual engineering focus.

Excellent update! Time to start testing those war machines against live targets. How long can your fighter survive  A+ update.

Please add a setting to the create a new game, that starts you out like it use to, with out the refinery and other stuff. that's fine for creative.
an get rid of them starter ships, or a self destruct button or something that completely destroys everything on it and nothing remains of it.

Generally some cool ideas, but the turretlogic should be a bit reworked. Like they don't shoot down my own missiles! :woot:

Have you considered introducing individual player created transponder codes for beacons that would allow IFF for the turrets rather than just strictly factions. This could be used along side the motion tracking system so that all targets but ones allowed through will be targeted. Also passcodes for the cockpits and doors would be awesome too and possibly hacking anyways great job love the game.

I see it does strangeness with the quotes sometimes..
I wan't trying to chop your head off or something, I just think it's sad to see people complaining about the updates. After all, we are very lucky to get them this often.

After all, if they had wanted us to decide what comes in each update and what they should work on next they would have asked right? Stating that you are dissapointed in an update is not even remotely constructive.
I could of course do away with the quote, but it was more for context than anything else. The updates makes sense if you look at it. Cargo-ships, conveyors, weapons that work and target anything. People want a challenge, and undefended cargo-ships are not very challenging. So to get everything to work together this was the next logical step. :)

Guuuuuuys, stop shitposting around about your good relationships with each other and post some constructive things- bug reports, suggestions about this patch, etc. Go free your's feelings about each other in PM.
Btw, update's really nice, it's bring new challenges and possibilities. Good work, devs.

    Lets agree to disagree :)

But OT, did they really change the "target moving objects" on turrets do default ON for cargo/military ships passing through ?

Ivé landed on both cargo an military, nothing was shooting at me ?

    Checked version and it´s correct.

Good update with the curved tubes!

Although, them new rocket launchers are shooting their own rockets when you have more than 1 next to each other and set shoot rockets.
But that's a quick fix right? love the moving object feature, now to see it color based (only kill Red, Green... etc)

Also, Iskariote, Forget about the kiddies here, they rage all the time, even if you say boo.

Everyone has another opinion about something, I kinda agree with you about the survival start map, it's making it very easy to survival with that map now ( even though it already was ), but on the other hand it's more used as, hey, this is what you could do with the stuff.

I do hope/like to see the next update with factions though! but, that's not for me to decide...

I like the update but something about it killed my frame rate. now even more memory is being used then before. though it does run faster near the asteroids it's just to bad it's slowed it down everywhere else now for me...

You are not alone. It's heartbreaking that this 'feature' is being overlooked and anyone requesting it gets shot down immediately. Dedicated server is not some groundbreaking, extremely difficult to implement development nightmare. Once the groundwork for multiplayer is there, dedicated is relatively simple stuff.

To everyone worrying about trolls and greifers, set a password? Ban Trolls? There are plenty of games that have ways to deal with those problems.

The solution 'buy another copy of the game' is just insulting.

    Nice update.

I think they should also add Grouping option for rockets in menu. Gatling Guns are visible but not rockets.

    Still nice update.

    First time poster:

    - As a new player who hardly got to use the previous version, I really liked the new easy start environment. It showed me the conveyers, turrets, and collectors all working in viable structures, and helped me to look up the right questions. Slow to load, but he ho. If it makes the game more approachable for newcomers, that is all to the good.

    - On compressed air thrusters, I've actually PLAYED with them with my own fingers. Back in the 1970s my father worked on British satellites, and teenage me got to work summers, partly in the Marconi Space cleanrooms in Portsmouth, England. One of the test rigs was for testing the stability thrusters. There was a big bath of liquid mercury, on which they floated a satellite test rig as a virtually frictionless mount. The compressed air thrusters were used to keep it pointing exactly the same direction for antenna alignment. You could give the rig a little push (very little) to slightly rotate the rig, and watch as the gyros detected the shift and "fired" the gas jets to compensate and reposition to the correct alignment. Compressed gas was used because a valve can release a very small puff as needed with no ignition needed, and it can last for multiple years without maintenance (no shuttle back then). However, this was for very rare, very minor corrections, not for real movement.

The base problem here, and the reason you're getting flak is, that you're complaining about an update. You are criticising work that is given to you for free while the devs upgrade their game.

You literally paid once for a game that has more and more content each time, and with that adjusts it price every now and then. Considering how many big and serious companies tend to lack in regard to customer support, or even basic servicing of their game (an update each WEEK, not month or quarter-year, like most games do), these guys are doing an amazing job, with speed you rarely see in the IT industry.

You paid for it? Okay. You are a customer? Somewhat (you can't get a refund for this game anymore, according to Steam rules). Are you entitled to updates? Pff. Nope.

So now we have SeaRAM and CIWS.

I think the behavior of your SEARAM and CIWS shoot your own rocket is not a broken feature. It is a problem, but you're a space engineer don't you? So solve that problem. What it's lack is not because those CIWS and SEARAM attack our own missile, but the option to give them specific target that we want. They are full auto after all.

I am unsure when this happened, but I can now SEE ships at a much greater range than I could previously. I can even notice non-armor blocks at much longer ranges than I could previously. Was that THIS patch or did I miss one?

For the record, I love being able to see that far, and it didn't impact my framerate at all.

I think it was implemented last update (01.029), I noticed it too back then.
