    We also have a base that appeared 18k from our main station in a survival 1-1-1 world, and its launching on us.... so far though we are attempting to fight back, and can successfuly lure some ships away from our base... we can jump the base out if things get bad... well see what transpires lol... good thing we stockpiled some ammo

    but i gotta ask - who do i need to buy hookers & blow for to ensure we get compound blocks with the planets release? ;^)

    Will they eventually run out of resources to build drones?

    Also, it looks like post editing was finally fixed. Noticed this in the ME section on Tuesday, and it applies to here too.

    Sorry to be a spoil sport but - didn't we already have enemies? i mean hello, cargo ships etc. I hope there's a checkbox if the difference is what i think (that being that they actively seek out you and your bases instead of waiting for you to come to them)

    If you get too close to them they will attack you. The "Informant" will only run away from you, I think it is bugged as It seems it's purpose is to find you, to call in Eradicators (Fear them).

    Cargo ships are kinda passive enemies. If you don't go near them they're no threat at all. This is completely different. Getting within 20k will immediately summon a drone to your position no matter where you are. If you don't kill it, another will spawn and so on though I haven't really tested it. You are doomed if you are unprepared.

    I for one, and thoroughly impressed with this update. I can finally test out my combat mod.
    And planets look great, even as WIP, far beyond what I was expecting.

    Don't forget that the larger NPC cargo ships (I'm presuming the biggest of the three for each type) will summon escorts if you get too close.

    WOW.

    So worth the wait.

    This update is amazing, I'm so happy that the AI is being worked on, and the universe no longer feels as empty with this update.

    Planets are going to be amazing. It's hard to wait but it will be worth it!

    Thanks for continuing to make an already awesome game, even better!

    Started a new game DS in 1-1-1 Lone Survivor, normal density infinite with pirate drones. Spawned two pirate bases within 15Km, and I'm dead within 5 minutes.
    Started a second game, and turned off player broadcasting, and turned off beacon as fast as possible at the start. One pirate base was spawned within range. When the drone started coming, I hid around the other side of the asteroid. The drone stopped and waited when it neared the asteroid. I moved toward the horizon to about 200m from the drone with a hill between me and him. He started shooting into the hill trying to hit me. I waited as my energy to deplete from near 90% to about 25%, maybe 10 minutes, and his gun was shooting the entire time. I guess they have unlimited ammo.
    Started a third game with no pirates within 20K range, no problems. Ventured to several close by asteroids and was able to collect various ores. Heading toward one asteroid, and a pirate base appeared at 20Km, a drone was sent almost immediately. Quit the game and restarted from my last save. Shortly thereafter, I captured two mining carriages with no problem. No escorts were called. I am running the Radar and Mid-Space Scanning mods. Ran the carriage's antenna at 50Km for the scan mod, it does not show the pirate base. Also installed a small ship radar and ran at 50Km, it also so far does not see them, range about 25Km from my base. Have been running both for a while, and the pirates have not come to investigate, so doesn't look like they respond to antenna broadcasting.

    NICE ! That's a really nice feature ! Now survival have a bit of interest !

    Now just a suggestion, add some weapons for the engineers to defend himself against drones !

    But really, really nice work ! Waiting for the end of the exams, and I'll get stuck to my chair x)

    Oh, and if the screenshot are not the final version of planets, I can't imagine what it'll be !

    Daaaah, this screenshot ! I'll set them as my wallpaper !

    I think I'll try putting together a neutral mining base that spawns small miners to go out and harvest nearby asteroids... and calls in a frigate or two if harassed.

    Devs PLS FIX THE MULTI-PLAYER ENGINE !!!!
    Don't add new blocks, new ships etc just fix MP Engine, Fix DX 11, make more optimizations.
    MP in space engineers is almost dead, and the main reason is weak MP engine.

    1. Ships is flying about 10-20 m/s you can't flay near hit ( to grind it) because the ship is all the time jumping back-front - after few second you are dead because this jumping ship kill you.
    2. Ship is moving and you as a pilot leave the pilot seat. What is next? You are dead because ship start jumping and you can't fly inside your own ships (everything is moving back-front)
    3. Flying parts in the space don't move strait, they jumping (back-front).
    4. New player is connected - 3-10 sek - info about " no information receive form server" (or something like that)
    5. A lots of de-syncs during game in MP.
    6. drills make a huge MP game slow down.
    7. rotors and pistons don't work in MP, they shaking and are destroyed when start shaking


    So pls fix MP first don't add new block, or other stuff. Make new improvement, better optimization, and fix bugs.

    Pirates... That is a pretty cool PvE element! Have to be fair, didn't play for many weeks now, but when I start, first thing I'll do is build a proper fighting ship.

    hopefully planets will be an world option! :-/

    just because this game needs so much care about performance safeing and building first and at this stage i dont care much about planets because its not so "wow" if you have all the missing features in mind! :-(
    but i understand that you guys need something to catch more eyes on your game - but pls - after planets improve multiplayer and in that process enhance performance so we can have 16 players on 1 server without lags! :)
    another very importand feature is a better build grid - atm it is not possible tu build accurately - blocks cant have a "more quadratic" strukture! - also building behind buildboxes isnt possible yet :-(
    in some other games it works with collision boxes - you can build very accurate then!^^

    hopefully you will catch this major things after planets - because planets without people due to local client&server performance issues isnt nice! :-/

    Sir, you should know by now that they are working on it - yelling at them in capslock will not make it go any quicker. And it will not change their schedule. Trust me, I yelled at people in the past. They did not change their schedules for me.

    this is the netcode problem they are working on it ..... die u tried to set PhysicsIterations to one, in ur sbc.file
