Since I bought this promising game, I never could play it, because that terrible contrast (extra bright day) bug, with the newer nVidia drivers.
Advice to downgrade the graphic driver were unusual and I prefer to wait the disparition of the bug.
But I saw already so many updates, and the bug is still there...

Unimpressed, ME if this is what you changed the Building System for, I can honestly say we're through.

Intel i5/8 GB RAM/NVIDIA GeForce GT 630M(2GB) at 361.43/12/21/2015 driver (up to date)
I've questioned the problem for some time, the only advice was to downgrade to an older driver version.
As no other video game has any problem with the new driver, the downgrade is not advisable, I think!
When the game is in the „night” phase, all is all right. I was even at the „end of the world”, where the „Sun” is nicely visible somewhere „under the horizon”. The instant of the „day brake” puff, al contrast is gone, all is a horrible white brightness. No settings solved this. Actually, my Avatar is a screen save from the game.
I did not returned the game, I hope that the problem (which is not uncommon) will be solved, but I'm sorry to see how many upgrades were, without any solution...

Nvidia users all seem to have this problem; brightness rendering the game virtually unplayable during daylight. I hope you guys at Keen can work with Nvidia to find out why the most recent drivers do this, because from what I am reading older drivers are working fine.
I have gone so far as to create separate profiles in my graphics card for ME, tried several setting changes, nothing appeared to work, but I am not rolling back my drivers, they work fine with other games and SE.
C'mon Keen get this one hammered out.
    :)

Same problem here, complete white out.

Strange because Space Engineers runs absolutely fine on my system

    i7-3630QM @ 2.40Ghz 2.40Ghz
    8.00 GB ram
64-bit Opr system Windows 10 Home
    1600x900, 60hz
    GeForce GT 630M

Geforce experience for most up to date drivers. tried beta drivers too, no change.

When I set Video adapter to Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000, the white-out is gone temporarily.

A HDR on/off option in settings would probably fix it is my best guess

    Cheers!

Thanks for that update. We have better performance with the blocks. Great. I am looking forward to see more upgrades for that topic and a lot of new blocks this year.
