    Hello everyone,

I am wondering if someone could explain how to refresh voxel terrain i.e I have mined a bit of the planet and what that to be reset.

As world sizes on DS seem to always be increasing due to mining and such, I have heard some people are "refreshing voxel cache", but I am not sure what is meant by this exactly and how one would do this on a DS.

    Thanks.

Open up your save directory and delete all the vx2 files. The game should regenerate asteroids and planets in the same positions.

Thanks Rexxar, I have tried this on a dedicated server and the planets are not regenerating! I have restarted the server multiple times, but the planets don't come back.

Is there something else I should be doing? Apart from deleting .vx2 files?

Has anyone figured out the issues with voxel refresh. Tried all the above solutions only to get crashes. I'm wondering if deleting the vx files is no longer a viable option.

I dont think there is a great way to do it. From what I've gathered, you need the original files from when the world was first generated.

So you just copy the originals over the old ones?

From my understanding, yes. Though I would make a backup of the entire save before doing do.
