The official guide that explains how to create block collisions links to a free version of Havok provided by Intel. This offering no longer exists, presumably because Microsoft acquired Havok from Intel and Intel is no longer in a position to provide Havok for free.

The modding toolchain is effectively broken.

There is also a discussion thread in the modding subforum.

You can grab it from my Dropbox if you want. I'm not sure how legit that is? But, if they won't offer it..

Intel chose to stop distribution for a reason...

If I can't make custom collisions, what good will my mods be? My GeoCalibur Arsenal uses slender shapes, and therefore must use a concave collision mesh, or hit-box in developers' lingo.

UPDATE: Will the app work in Windows 10? If not, I can't build my weapons.

I love how the greed of large corporations breaks countless things for more common users of the world/internet. Lovely going, Microsoft/Intel (depending on if it was Microsoft's bullying, or a sell-out of Havok by Intel...). I personally doubt they'd crack down on sharing the files of Havok 2013 for "piracy" since it was formerly provided for free due to it not being the latest, but those of you who do, be careful. A Microsoft that thinks it's being stolen from, is a meaner-than-usual Microsoft.

well as long as there isnt ever the day where we see people profiting from SE mods than i doubt they would feel they are being stolen from..

Bumping this because it's been a couple of months without some response and this is still a crippling issue for modders.

Its a shame it got taken down the Havok, im guessing I'd either have to use beans link, or have to wait till someone made an adjustment to the modding tools to stand in for the lack of havok?

Havok is the physics engine of the game and as far as I know not even MwmBuilder does anything to the Havok data but instead passes it on as-is to the engine.

What might work is if MwmBuilder were capable of creating the Havok data internally out of specially tagged meshes/dummies/empties - basically what the Unreal Engine does to import collisions from .fbx. The problem here is that MwmBuilder works for Keen in its current form and the sources for it aren't publicly available so no one else is able to make a contribution to add that feature.

Yeah thats a bit of a problem. I guess someone that had the free copy of havok might be able to reverse-engineer the code, and attempt at least to create something to stand in...?

This really needs to be addressed, and an updated documentation on creating blocks including information on the dummies would be nice.

Does anyone know if there have been any changes in this situation?

Is there a solution for modded custom collision meshes currently?

nope, nothing changed and seeing that this thread is almost 2 years old without any response from any keen member tells me they dont care at all about this issue

@Eikester - thanks for taking the time to reply. It's a shame, really - many of the KSH modding toolkit tools are not working as intended and if they are working, the sparse documentation is usually hopelessly out of date.

Here's a couple of examples I've come across in the last few days

Visual Scripting Tool - there are no 'Getter' function nodes showing up, only 'Setters' making it pretty useless for scripting levels etc.
MWMBuilder's accompanying help file still references only DX9 texturing, and the 'official' Steam guides vary in age and quality of information.

I eventually found a previous copy of the Havok tools I had used in a previous attempt to figure out the process for getting a block in-game. With Harag's Blender add-on I've successfully built the visual geometry and correctly referenced SE's default materials, but not tackled the creation of custom collision meshes yet. Wish me luck...;)

Has there still not been a response to this? The Havok downloads here crash for me, on Windows 10. An official solution would be great...
