Sensor Detecting Asteroid/Planet Bug

    Version: 1.186.201

    Bug # 1 Sensors not detecting planets with "Detect asteroids" On.

    Reproduce:
    a) Go to a planet.
    b) Place a sensor on a grid.
    c) Power the sensor with sufficient power.
    d) Open sensor control panel.
    e) Set "Detect Players" Off
    f) Set "Detect Asteroids" On
    g) Observe behaviour.

    Can confirm. Sensors wont detect planet voxels after last major update.
    (Maybe this is due to voxel "import" from ME?)

    Hi,

    I will report it, but can you explain me why is it an issue? I personally wouldn't expect it to detect planets while I set it to detect asteroids.

    Planets and made of the same stuff, it would be awesome if sensors actually detected it so people could make mining machines that are semi/fully automated.
    Otherwise it would be even harder/impossible for most designs using thrusters/hovering.

    Not only to mention other applications/devices that could be made using this effect.

    Ok, thanks for explanation :).

    So I will make a ticket for it and will hope it will be fixed soon. Now it will depend on what priority will leaders assign to it and how difficult it will be to implement.
